Saturday mornings usually mean dropping children off to various sporting activities. Whenever possible I trap the opportunity to take a walk in the local area. This painting was inspired by an amble along the Lane Cove river one Saturday morning. The sky was overcast, but that showcased greens of the trees to full effect and made the oranges and reds if the sandstone rocks glow even more.
