I recently completed a large landscape piece which inspired a series of smaller paintings. I find this little offshoot at the end of a major work helps me capture the parts of a painting I’m most drawn to and helps to relieve the pressure of working on a major piece. I particularly like the loose strokes and colour palette if purples, reds and whites in this piece.
